What are the conditions for renting a self-drive van?
- Before using MIDO's self-drive van rental service, you should be aware of the main conditions for consistent understanding of usage:
- Rental with driver service is provided for 10 hours per day, for example, starting work (picking up customer) at 08:00 and ending work (dropping off customer) at 18:00.
- Driver overtime charges are priced at 321-856 baht per hour depending on the vehicle type.
- The rental rate does not include fuel, expressway tolls, and parking fees (customers pay according to actual usage). Alternatively, if the customer finds it inconvenient to pay separately, staff will request a preliminary deposit of 2,000 baht.
- For trips to other provinces with overnight stays, there is an additional service fee of 1,070 baht per night, including accommodation and meals for the driver provided by the customer.
- Maximum speed must not exceed the legally specified limit.
- When renting an electric vehicle with a driver, the renter must plan the route in advance as electric vehicles have limitations on driving range and may need to stop for charging along the way.
- Do not carry dangerous items or illegal goods on the vehicle.
- Smoking is prohibited on the vehicle, and no littering or making the vehicle dirty.
- Alcohol consumption and drug use are prohibited on the vehicle.
- Strong-smelling food and flammable materials are not allowed on the vehicle.
- For long-distance travel, the driver may need to take breaks every 1-2 hours.
- The renter must notify the number of passengers in advance and must not overload passengers beyond the seating capacity of the vehicle.

Yes, you can return the car at a different branch. A cross-branch return fee applies based on distance, and the system calculates it automatically during online booking.
Every car includes Basic Protection. In the event of a collision or accident, the renter is responsible for the deductible/excess. To reduce this risk, renters can purchase additional coverage — either SCDW or Full Protection.
The rental deposit can be paid in two ways:
- Bank transfer deposit — after the car is returned, we transfer the deposit back to your account within 24 hours.
- Credit card pre-authorization (hold) — after the car is returned, we release the hold; funds typically appear back on your card within 15–30 days.
MIDO offers delivery of your rental car to your home or hotel. Delivery fees are as follows:
- Delivery within Bangkok and Nonthaburi — 1,070 THB for delivery and pickup
- Delivery within Pathum Thani — 1,284 THB for delivery and pickup
- Delivery within Samut Prakan — 1,498 THB for delivery and pickup
