Important terms and conditions for rental car substitution service you should know
- Minimum rental period 1 day (24 hours) — late returns charged 214–1,070 baht per hour
- Fuel: Receive full tank, return full tank — if not full there is a 321 baht service charge plus actual fuel cost
- Electric vehicles EV: Return with battery at least 85% charged — if below this level there is a 535 baht service charge plus actual charging cost
- Rental extension: Notify at least 1 day in advance and pay before the contract expires
- Payment: Bank transfer only — cash payment not accepted
- Basic insurance: Class 3 included in rental rate — you can add SCDW or Full Protection if desired
- Deposit refund: Within 24 hours of vehicle return (for bank transfers) / 15–30 days (for credit card payments)
- Smoking prohibited in vehicle: 3,210 baht fine
- Animals prohibited in vehicle: 1,070 baht fine
- Vehicles must not be taken outside the country

Yes, you can return the car at a different branch. A cross-branch return fee applies based on distance, and the system calculates it automatically during online booking.
Every car includes Basic Protection. In the event of a collision or accident, the renter is responsible for the deductible/excess. To reduce this risk, renters can purchase additional coverage — either SCDW or Full Protection.
The rental deposit can be paid in two ways:
- Bank transfer deposit — after the car is returned, we transfer the deposit back to your account within 24 hours.
- Credit card pre-authorization (hold) — after the car is returned, we release the hold; funds typically appear back on your card within 15–30 days.
MIDO offers delivery of your rental car to your home or hotel. Delivery fees are as follows:
- Delivery within Bangkok and Nonthaburi — 1,070 THB for delivery and pickup
- Delivery within Pathum Thani — 1,284 THB for delivery and pickup
- Delivery within Samut Prakan — 1,498 THB for delivery and pickup
